Social media · New Zealand · NZD + GST

Social media marketing for NZ businesses.

OneAdsphere runs social media for New Zealand businesses. We plan the month, write and design the posts, Reels and carousels, schedule them on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok, and make the creative for your paid Meta ads. You sign off every post before it goes live, your pages stay registered to your business, and results are reported as enquiries rather than likes. Social is scoped to your business and quoted in NZD plus GST, on its own or as part of the Growth Partner.

Proof on Instagram

Feeds we design, exactly as they appear on Instagram.

Both accounts belong to our clients, and every tile is a post we designed that went live on that account, starting with an Auckland developer. Tap a tile to open it on Instagram. Follower, like and reach numbers are theirs to share, so you will not find them here.

Organic and paid

One feed, two different jobs.

Organic social is what you post and how you answer. Paid social is creative with money and a test behind it. Plenty of businesses pay for one and expect what the other delivers, so we plan them separately and let each improve the other.

Organic social

Pages that look open for business

What you post on your own Facebook Page, Instagram, LinkedIn Page or TikTok, and how you answer the people who respond. It is where people look after they hear your name from a mate, spot your van or find you on Google, so it has to look current and answer the obvious questions.

  • A dated plan for each month, approved before it starts
  • Posts cut separately for each channel, not one image pasted everywhere
  • Comments and DMs answered within limits you set
  • Your own photos, people and jobs instead of stock images
  • Reach grows slowly and is never promised; turning up every week is the part we control
Paid social creative

Ads built to be tested, then replaced

Short video, UGC, statics and carousels made to run as Facebook and Instagram ads. Each piece carries one idea and runs against the current best ad, and the weaker one is switched off on the numbers. Targeting, budgets and lead forms live on our Meta ads page.

  • One hook per ad, so a result actually means something
  • Sized for Reels, stories and feed placements
  • Paid or gifted creators always disclosed
  • Judged on enquiries and bookings, not on views
  • The winning angle feeds next month’s posts

The two feed each other. When a post draws genuine questions, that question becomes the next ad hook; when an ad wins its test, its angle earns a place in the organic calendar.

Channels

Choose channels by where your customers already spend time.

Doing two channels well beats spreading thin across four. The right pair comes down to your buyers and how visual your work is, and if a channel would waste your money we say so in the first conversation.

Facebook: referrals and local proof

Suits trades, clinics, hospitality and services that run on word of mouth. Your Page shows finished work, answers the questions people leave in comments and proves you are still trading. Meta Business Suite lets one post carry different text on Facebook and Instagram, so each reads naturally.

Instagram: anything worth looking at

Suits homes, renovations, food, interiors, fitness and retail. Reels and carousels show the transformation, how it was done and who did it, and the grid works as a portfolio someone can scroll before they get in touch.

LinkedIn: selling to other businesses

Suits advisers, B2B suppliers, commercial builders and recruiters. Company Page posts show how you think and who you help. LinkedIn’s super admin decides who else gets access and can deactivate the Page, while a content admin creates and manages posts. You stay super admin; we work as content admin.

TikTok: the job, on camera

Suits trades on site, makers, food and anything with a satisfying process. TikTok tells businesses not to use its general music library for commercial posts, organic ones included, and to use the Commercial Music Library instead, so every sound we add is cleared for business use.

Property developers get all four channels inside our property development marketing programme, with each release covered from the first sod to handover beside the paid campaigns.

What we post

Five kinds of post, built from what really happens in your business.

How often you post is set channel by channel in the scope, matched to how much real material your business produces. A steady rhythm held for a year beats a burst in month one and silence by month three.

01Finished work

Completed jobs and real results, shown with the client’s okay whenever they or their property are in shot.

02The team

Who answers the phone and who turns up on the day, so the first call is with someone they have already seen.

03Straight answers

The questions customers keep asking, answered once in a post you can point the next person to.

04Behind the scenes

How the job really gets done, filmed on site, in the kitchen or at the bench.

05News and offers

New stock, openings, seasonal specials and price guides, with the full price and any conditions in plain view.

Content in batches

One shoot, a month of material.

Most owners cannot stop for social every day, so we gather material in batches. An hour on site, in the shop or at the clinic, filmed by your team or ours, gets edited into short videos, photos and swipeable posts for every channel you run, and the strongest clips are briefed as ad tests for the paid side.

  • The month’s calendar agreed before it starts
  • Footage cut into vertical video, square and portrait stills and carousels
  • Each caption written for its platform, with LBP or other registration details where your trade has them
  • Gaps kept for real news: a finished job, a new hire, a genuine award
  • Every three months, the kinds of post that brought enquiries get more room
How a month runs

You say yes before anything goes out in your name.

Anything published on your Page speaks for your business. You approve the plan, then every caption and image, and any claim in them is matched to evidence you hold.

  1. The week before

    The plan

Dates, themes and formats for each channel, built around your busy and quiet seasons, your launches and the questions coming in.

  2. Drafts

    Full posts, not descriptions

Captions and visuals made in full and shown as they will look, so you approve the real post.

  3. Your check

    Sign-off and proof

You approve, change or drop each post. Prices, results, licence or membership claims and anything a customer said are checked against your records first, because the Advertising Standards Code expects an advertiser to hold evidence for every claim.

  4. Scheduled

    From inside your accounts

Approved posts are scheduled in Meta Business Suite. Meta lets someone create a post only with full control of, or content permission on, the Page or Instagram account, and content permission is the access you give us.

  5. Live

    Replies within your rules

Comments and messages answered in your tone and within the limits you set. Complaints, refunds and anything sensitive go straight to you.

Reporting

We count enquiries and sales. Likes are background.

Likes and follower counts are simple to inflate and simple to chart, yet neither one settles a bill. We set your social up to trace what counts: the person who asked, the post that prompted them, and whether it became paid work.

Tracked links

Every link we post, in captions, bios or stories, is tagged, so your website analytics can name the channel and the post behind an enquiry.

DMs count as enquiries

Someone asking for a quote in Messenger or Instagram is a lead, so it is recorded with its channel rather than left in a message thread.

Lead forms straight to the CRM

Lead form submissions from Facebook and Instagram arrive in your CRM tagged with where they came from. No copying and pasting.

Revenue by channel

Once your CRM marks which enquiries became paying jobs, the monthly report lines up enquiries and sales per channel against paid social spend.

Your report still lists reach and follower movement, because a dip can explain a slow fortnight. It just never leads the report, and we will never sell you a follower target.

New Zealand rules

What NZ law and the ad code expect from your social media.

Your own posts, the ones you boost and the ones a creator makes for you are all advertising in the eyes of the Commerce Commission and the Advertising Standards Authority. These six points shape every post and reply we write for you.

The Fair Trading Act reaches your posts

The Commerce Commission says the Act applies to advertising in all its forms, social media included, and looks at the overall impression a post gives, including what it leaves out. A post on your own Page has to be as accurate as a paid ad.

Ads have to look like ads

Rule 2(a) of the Advertising Standards Code says advertisements must be identified as such. The ASA treats paid, gifted or brand-controlled posts as ads, wants that obvious at first sight with a label such as “Ad”, says a note in a bio is not enough, and holds the advertiser, the agency and the creator all responsible.

Disclosure tools on each platform

On top of the label, Meta requires its branded content tool for paid or gifted creator posts, and TikTok says any post promoting a brand, product or service must have its Commercial Content Disclosure setting switched on.

Reviews and testimonials

The Commission’s guidance is that reviews must be genuine and must not mislead about what the reviewer meant. In August 2026 a retailer was ordered to pay $1.104 million for a range of conduct, including staff posting positive reviews without disclosing they worked there; the Commission’s release also describes low-star reviews being held back.

Badges, memberships and endorsements

A trade association logo or membership claim belongs in a post only while the membership is approved and current, and an endorsement only when it is true and the person or organisation has agreed to it. We ask for the paperwork before a badge goes up.

Consent before a promotional message

The Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 covers instant messages as well as email and text. A promotional DM needs consent, has to identify your business and must offer a working unsubscribe, honoured within five working days.

Privacy: lead forms and DMs collect personal information. The Privacy Act 2020 applies to New Zealand businesses of every size, small businesses and sole traders included, and every business needs a privacy officer. Under information privacy principle 3 you let people know that their details are being collected, why, who will receive them, who you are, and that they can see and correct them. Meta recommends that every lead form says why contact details are collected and how they will be used, so ours do.

Sources, read 26 October 2026: the Commerce Commission on your obligations as a business, claiming to be something you are not and online reviews; the ASA’s Advertising Standards Code and guidance on identifying ads; Internal Affairs on commercial electronic messages and consent, identification and unsubscribing; the Privacy Commissioner on business obligations and principle 3. Messages and leads

Social enquiries answered while they are still warm.

We work from the Inbox in Meta Business Suite, which puts Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp conversations and the comments on your Facebook and Instagram posts side by side. New lead form enquiries can also be passed to speed-to-lead: it rings each one typically within 60 seconds, during the calling hours you set, runs through your questions and books those that qualify.

  • Comments and DMs handled from one inbox, by rules you have signed off
  • Every lead form enquiry sent on to your CRM, labelled with where it came from
  • Promotional follow-ups go only to people who agreed, name your business and include an unsubscribe that works
  • Complaints and refund requests come to you; we never answer them on your behalf
  • Each lead form explains why it asks for details and what happens to them
Ownership
Your Pages and your posts stay yours.

The business portfolio, Pages and profiles are registered to you, and we work inside them as a partner. Meta lets the portfolio owner grant an agency access to a Page or ad account, and even an agency with full control cannot pass that asset on to another business: only the owner can. On LinkedIn the super admin seat stays with you. Once all fees are paid you own the assets we build on your behalf, the creative included, held in your name from the point of setup wherever platform terms permit.

Pricing

How social media management is priced in New Zealand.

You will not find a social media package price on our site. We quote after a call, based on the channels you need, how many posts and videos go out each month, whether ad creative is part of it and who answers comments, and the figure is confirmed in writing in NZD plus GST before work begins.

Questions

Questions NZ businesses ask about social media.

Not covered here? Ask on the call. And if social is the wrong place to find your next customer, you will hear that from us.

What does a social media agency do for a New Zealand business?

We work out what your business should post and when, make the posts, publish them to your chosen channels, look after comments and DMs within agreed limits, and show you what came of it each month. OneAdsphere also produces the creative for your Facebook and Instagram ads, which keeps your feed and your advertising consistent.

How much does social media management cost in NZ?

There is no published social media fee, because no two scopes look alike. Channels, the monthly volume of posts and video, whether ad creative is included and who handles replies all move the price. You get it in writing, in NZD plus GST, before we start, either as a standalone service or inside the Growth Partner.

Organic or paid social: what is the difference?

Organic means the posts on your own pages that you do not pay to promote, and the replies that go with them. Paid means creative pushed out as an ad, with a set budget, a chosen audience and a test to decide what stays. Organic shows you are active and trustworthy; paid finds new people. The paid side sits on our Meta ads page, and our guide to Google Ads or Meta ads in NZ helps with where to start.

Which platforms should my business be on?

Start where your customers already spend time, and keep it to one or two channels at first. Local and visual businesses tend to fit Facebook and Instagram, firms selling to other firms fit LinkedIn, and businesses with something fun to watch fit TikTok. On the first call we will name any channel that is not worth it for you.

Do we approve every post?

Always. Each post reaches you complete, with its caption and images, and nothing is scheduled until you say yes. Any price, result or customer comment in it is checked against your own records beforehand.

Can you guarantee followers, reach or leads?

No. Each platform decides who sees an organic post, so a promised number of followers or leads could never be backed with evidence. What we do commit to is the plan, the standard of the work and straight reporting, measured in enquiries and sales.

Who owns our social accounts and content?

Your business does. Pages and profiles stay registered to you and we work in them with the access you grant. Once all fees are paid you own the assets we build on your behalf, the creative included, held in your name from the point of setup wherever platform terms permit.

Can we use influencers or customer videos?

Yes, inside the rules. Paid or gifted posts carry a clear label such as “Ad” where people see it first, plus Meta’s branded content tool or TikTok’s disclosure setting. We never write a script that has a creator describe an experience they have not had, and customer photos or videos go up only with permission.

Can you message people who comment on our posts?

Answering a question someone asked is fine. A promotional message is different: under the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 it needs their consent, must identify your business and must include a working unsubscribe, honoured within five working days. We follow up on that basis only.

Does the Privacy Act apply to a small business on social?

Yes. The Privacy Commissioner says the Act covers small businesses and sole traders, and every business needs a privacy officer. Lead forms and DMs collect personal information, so each of our forms explains what it collects and what it is for.

How fast are leads from social followed up?

As fast as you like. Lead form enquiries can be handed to speed-to-lead, which rings each person typically within 60 seconds, during the calling hours you set, works through your questions and books the people who fit. If your own team would rather make the calls, every lead is sent to them as it lands.
